FFT ANNOUNCES A WORLD FIRST – THREAT-LEVEL ADAPTIVE ZONING FOR PERIMETER INTRUSION DETECTION AT COMMERCIAL AIRPORTS

September 20th 2005

Building on recent improvements in location accuracy, Future Fibre Technologies announced at a private reception for key Border and Homeland Security staff held at the Australian Embassy in Washington DC, the release of FFT TAZ™ – its Threat-level Adaptive Zoning – a world first for perimeter intrusion detection.

Threat-level Adaptive Zoning (TAZ) dynamically adjusts a number of parameters on the FFT Secure Fence™ airport perimeter intrusion detection system according to threat level issued by Homeland Security. FFT TAZ™ automatically changes the zone lengths – the higher the threat level, the smaller the zones, and the better the intrusion location resolution. Click here to download the file >>

UNAUTHORISED REPRESENTATION OF FFT

September 8th 2005

It has come to our attention that a Chinese company, Pipeline Man Secure Pipe System Co. Ltd (PSS), is representing itself as a sole and exclusive Distributor of FFT products in China. We have also learned that PSS are claiming to have technology transfer and a license from FFT to manufacture FFT’s products for the Chinese market.

FFT categorically denies these claims and emphasises that PSS are acting in an unauthorised manner. PSS were terminated as an FFT Distributor, effective 5 June 2004. Consequently, they are no longer recognised as an FFT Distributor, nor authorised to sell its products. Furthermore, FFT has never transferred any intellectual property to PSS, nor authorised PSS to manufacture its products.

Parties are advised not to deal with PSS in any capacity regarding FFT products and any parties that are in discussions with PSS regarding FFT products should immediately cease such discussions with PSS and contact FFT for details of our authorised distributors.
