The ‘Dune Express’ is a fully electrified 67km (42 miles) overland frac sand conveyor system that originates at Atlas Energy’s
mine in Kermit, Texas and ends just past the New Mexico / Texas state line. Believed to be the second largest conveyor belt
in the world, the system can move 13 million tonnes of sand per year and has two permanent loadout facilities.
